Chylothorax

• The project commenced in June 2010 for a period of 13 months
• Its aims is to identify how many new cases arise in a year (incidence); how the condition presents; how the case is managed; how long symptoms last and the outcome
• The study is funded by a non-medical research grant from UHBristol NHS Foundation Trust and the Variety Club Children’s Charity
• Ethics approval - Institute of Child Health / Great Ormond Street Hospital REC (Ref:10/H0713/27) and has been granted ECC for Section 251 Support (ECC/BPSU 3-02(FTI)
• Lead investigators: Dr Peter Davis, and Caroline Haines, Bristol
