Congenital Rubella
- This project commenced in 1990
- Its aim is to monitor the effectiveness of the rubella immunisation programme by determining the incidence of congenital rubella and investigating the circumstances surrounding any new cases.
- Since 1997, 10 congenital rubella births have been reported, 7 of these were imported infections
- Funded: Health Protection Agency, SENSE, Centre for Paediatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics, ICH London
- Ethics approval London MREC (ref: 05/MRE02/2) and PIAG.
